| SEMINARS, COURSES, LECTURERS GIVEN
As an active lecturer, teacher and resource speaker many courses seminars and lectures were presented all over the world, specifically in Australia and Asia Pacific over the recent years. Details on request. This includes his multiple training courses and seminars organised and presented for Philips in house staff all over the world. Specifically for Asia Pacific a comprehensive course and career development program was developed, which culminated in 4 specific courses with its specific course materials. Martin is a regular resource speaker on various lighting related functions and events in Western Australia and in Shanghai China.
He has lectured in lighting modules occasionally at TAFE Western Australia as part of the Interior Design curriculum, and has presented an intensive Stage Lighting course at the Kalamunda Arts and Dramatic Society. He spoken at a number of lighting and Industry related Expo's at various locales all over the world. |

| AWARDS
Martin has received several International and National lighting design awards in recognition of his work over the years. Selections of these are:
- IES International Lighting Design Award of Merit for the lighting of the Nieuw Amsterdam luxury Cruise liner. Category – Recreational lighting.
- Winner of New Zealand – IES Lighting Design Award for the Auckland Lighting Application Center.
- Winner of the West Australian Civic Design Award for the lighting of Riverside Drive – Perth. This award is judged by a committee comprising the Royal Institute of Australian Architects, the Royal Australian Planning Institute, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and the Institution of Engineers Australia.
- Winner of the IES of Australia and New Zealand Lighting Award for the lighting of St Bartholomew's Chapel (National Trust) at the East Perth Cemeteries.
- Winner of the IES of Australia and New Zealand Lighting Award (High Commendation) for the lighting of the Riverside Drive and Foreshore at the City of Perth.
- Winner of the IES of Australia and New Zealand Lighting Award (High Commendation) for the fiber optic lighting effects at the Burswood International Casino's Main Entrance and Gaming Hall in Perth.

| PUBLICATIONS/PUBLIC APPEARANCE
Martin has written many articles about his work which have been published and featured in many magazines and newspapers throughout the Asia Pacific region. He has also been appointed as honorary advisor to a Singaporean magazine, Lighting Today which targets the Asia Pacific lighting market. A feature article on Martin's work and other articles on his recent projects have been published in 2002, 2004, 2005. He currently writes a regular ‘Reflections' column for Lighting Today Magazine also.
His previous lighting contributions to other magazines and papers include;
